The Be Good Do Good Project is a template for change. It's not a challenge because this is not a contest or a competition. It is an individual AND collaborative project designed to produce small, incremental change.
Many of us set resolutions for change. Change to improve our relationships, our health, our finances, our future, our environment and many other areas of our life. How many of us really understand what it takes to accomplish our resolutions? Very few! This is why we don't accomplish our resolutions and we make the same promises for another year. There are 365 days in a year, 52 weeks, how is it possible that out of all of that time, we end the year without a sense of accomplishment?
Resolutions are goals. They must be set following the SMART + Joy criteria. This means that resolutions should be Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic, Time Bound and result in Joy. How many of our resolutions are specific? How many of our resolutions have a plan of action written against them? How many of our resolutions have a one year time span? Resolutions that are open ended do not get accomplished because they become too big and too elastic for our mind to comprehend. A resolution to lose weight is not enough. It needs to be specific. It needs to have a list of action items against it.
The Be Good Do Good Project is designed in a way that asks you to make small, positive changes in your life. These changes fit into the following categories: Be Well, Be Minimal, Be An Explorer and Be An Environmentalist. These are the tenets that we focus on. The goals are to respect ourselves and respect our environment. We live in an interdependent world. Our lives have impact and we need to be aware of our impact and how it can be used to affect the world.
If you are ready to start on a new path, join us for the Be Good Do Good Project. Your only regret will be not starting at all.
